Many people across the globe are always looking for tips on how to improve their artistic skill, but do you know where they should start? Whether you’re a beginner painter or an artist who wants to learn more about painting, this blog post provides all the information you need.

Overview of Watercolor Painting

To paint like a professional, you need to understand the basic watercolor painting techniques. You will also need to know how to create color palettes and blend them together. One of the most important things is understanding the basic color theory so that you can make your colors pop!

Getting Started with a Paint Brush

One tip that beginners should follow is to use a paint brush. This tool helps with getting an even coverage of the paint on the surface. Paint brush also makes it easier for beginners to apply more layers of paint without having to use more paint cans.

What Colors to Use in Painting?

Some colors are better for certain subjects. For instance, the colors red, green, and blue can be used to paint a forest, sky, or ocean. The colors yellow and indigo are usually used to paint flowers because they resonate with each other colorize.

Techniques for Painting Landscapes

Painting the landscape is one of the most difficult forms of art. We have all seen beautiful landscapes painted in oil and acrylic. Landscape artists often start at sunrise or sunset with their brushes ready for the brushstrokes that will come before them. Once the painting has been completed, it may take just as long to clean up and prepare for next day as it does to actually paint.

Tips on Making Your Painting Stand Out

Having a painting that’s so-so is just not worth the effort. That’s why you need to take your paint jobs seriously and learn how to create different styles of art that will wow people and make them want to buy your work.

How to paint digitally

The basics of digital painting are straightforward: digitally paint something by drawing lines or shapes on a computer. The resulting work is saved as a digital image file that can be printed, edited and resized at will. Even if you’re not interested in creating your own artwork, learning about digital painting is an excellent way to gain insight into how computers work. This tutorial will give you some basic instruction on how to draw in software like Adobe Photoshop and Painter 2022.

Digital artwork examples

Some people use a tablet/stylus to draw on their computer monitor, but you can also do it with your finger if you don’t have one. If using a mouse or touchpad, make sure to disable your ‘mouse acceleration’ feature (in Windows 8, Windows 10 or Windows 11 open Control Panel > Mouse). This will reduce jittery lines, keeping your line weight consistent throughout a piece. Try setting ‘Double-click speed’ very low (1ms). This will ensure that no matter how fast you move your cursor, nothing happens until you click twice.

What is the definition of classical art?

While there are many styles of art, including Contemporary, Abstract and Post-Impressionist, the term classical art refers to works of art dating from the Greco-Roman period up to the 18th century AD. In other words, Classical Art encompasses the major artistic periods in Western culture, including Greek and Roman sculpture and painting as well as Renaissance painting. To determine if something is classical art or not, you should focus on how it was created rather than on its specific style or subject matter.

Defining Classical Art

Classical Art

It’s not always easy to define what makes something classical, but one thing you can do is look at its history.
The works that came out of ancient Greece and Rome—including sculptures, paintings and architecture—are considered classical works. However, throughout time there has been some disagreement about which artists are counted among those ranks. In many cases, style was a defining factor; for example, although Michelangelo’s David could be seen as a breakthrough in realism and emotional detail by today’s standards, his style was considered classical during his lifetime because it looked back to classical Roman sculpture. In a nutshell, classical art is made up of sculptures and paintings that are mainly focused on depicting realistic images. It’s also known as formalism.

Ancient Greek Sculpture

The history of ancient Greek sculpture is divided into three periods: Archaic (c. 650–480 BC), Classic (c. 480–323 BC), and Hellenistic (323–31 BC). The Archaic period is generally considered to have lasted from approximately 650 to 485 BC, when [proto-]Doric architecture was developed and there was increasing prosperity in Greece.

Renaissance Sculpture

In contrast to classical sculpture, figures in Renaissance sculptures are presented in realistic and nuanced poses. With a greater focus on capturing movement and action than simply representing their subjects, early Renaissance artists made use of newly-developed technologies like bronze casting (which allowed for a greater degree of refinement) and linear perspective (which gave figures more dimensionality). As well, most Renaissance sculptors sought to capture human emotions in their work, as shown by Michelangelo’s David—an iconic sculpture that captures both vigor and grace. By combining these elements with newfound attention to light sources, early Renaissance sculptors were able to begin ushering in an era of expressionism while still using classical techniques.

Classical paintings

Classical painting by Sergey Dronov

People often confuse classical with something that references Ancient Greece or Rome, but Classical art actually has a broader meaning. In general, it refers to anything made before about World War I, but there are several important movements within that timeframe worth noting as well. Some of them had very different ideas than artists today about what constitutes good art; for example, some classicists hated abstraction and even went so far as to destroy paintings they thought were too abstract (more on these conflicts in a bit). Before we talk about specific classicist movements, let’s first take a look at what defines classical works of all types.

Whether you’re looking to escape your busy day-to-day life or find something to do with your kids, painting pottery may be the perfect hobby for you! There are so many beautiful colors to choose from and endless amounts of techniques to learn; whether you want to create beautiful marbled patterns or try splattering paint onto your ceramic masterpiece, it’s easy and fun to get started. If you’re not sure where to begin, check out this popular on how to paint pottery!

No matter where you live, it’s always nice to have a hobby. Paint pottery provides that for many people in communities across America and around the world. While some people are looking for something to do with their free time, others enjoy being able to produce decorative pieces of art that can serve as conversation starters for gatherings and other social functions. In either case, there are several reasons why paint pottery has become so popular as a pastime.

What materials do I need to paint pottery?

If you’re looking to get into painting pottery, there are some materials you should have on hand. First, you need a sturdy table that’s in a well-lit area. Painting pottery can take several hours and having a place to rest your hands while working is important. You’ll also want access to some water for washing up, so be sure there’s space for a sink or you have access to one nearby.

How do I pick what kind of pottery to paint?

When you first start painting pottery, there are some big questions you have to ask yourself: What kind of glaze should I use? What kind of pottery do I want to paint? Are there any special materials involved in creating pots (like a kiln)? If these sound like foreign terms to you, take a look at A Beginner’s Guide to Painting Pottery. They also give some guidelines for what kind of project you might want to try depending on your experience level.

What are some simple paint techniques?

One of my favorite paint techniques involves splattering. All you need to do is put your marbled paints on a sheet of newspaper or paper towel, hold your brush (preferably a natural bristle one) at about a 45 degree angle above them, and press down quickly. This will cause droplets of paint to fly everywhere; if you’re doing it correctly, they’ll all land on your paper! It takes some practice, but it makes for a fun painting session.

Should I wear special clothes while painting pottery?

When you’re working with clay, you should definitely wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. In a pinch, an old t-shirt will do just fine; if your clothes are more precious to you than they are to me, I would recommend investing in some white painter’s overalls (yes, they exist). Some of my classmates wore jeans and t-shirts when painting ceramics – their only clothing casualties were their pants.

What should I do after my first time painting?

Ercole Ercoli Painting

After you’ve tried your hand at painting with pottery, it can be a little intimidating to start over with a blank canvas. However, you should know that there are several options for beginners and skilled painters alike. Read on to learn more about what to do after your first time painting.

Where can I buy equipment and supplies for this hobby?

If you’re interested in taking up a new hobby, you may not know where to get started. Luckily, there are plenty of resources available to help you find places to buy equipment and supplies for your new endeavor. Here are a few examples on Amazon.

Where can I get more information about paint pottery?

If you want to learn more about paint pottery, I highly recommend visiting your local community center. There are often painting or drawing courses that you can take and they’re often very affordable, too.

Canvas Paintings have been around in one form or another since the early Renaissance, but the way that canvas art has been painted and displayed has changed dramatically over the years. Today, canvas paintings can be purchased online from any number of artists who use a variety of mediums and techniques to create their artwork – something which many people find difficult to understand. To help you decide whether canvas paintings are right for you, here are five benefits of choosing canvas paintings over other mediums.

A True Work of Art

The canvas is a true work of art, known for its durability and reliability, even in extreme conditions. It’s been used for centuries to create some of humanity’s most treasured works. When you choose to hang a canvas painting on your wall, you’re buying more than just an image; you’re making an investment in your home or office space that will stand up to time. Whether you choose from modern artists or classic masters like Monet, Picasso and Rubens, there’s nothing quite like owning a unique piece of art that can be passed down from generation to generation.

Gallery Quality

With a canvas painting, you’re getting an investment. It is not just a piece of art – it is also an investment in your home or office. Not only do we print and frame our canvases at Gallery Quality standards, but we also protect them with UV-Protection Coating. You will get vibrant colors on your canvas prints that are sure to brighten up any space they adorn and last for years to come. With hundreds of Canvas Painting options available and many sizes available, finding one that fits within your budget should be easy as long as you compare prices online first! No other medium compares to canvas prints when it comes to quality and value; find out why today!

Artists Are Always Listening

Artist Proof is different from other online art sellers in that every piece of art is created by an independent artist. This means that any Artist Proof you buy will not be a picture or print of anything hanging on some rich person’s wall. Instead, it will be something made just for you by someone who really cares about your satisfaction. And when you purchase artwork through Artist Proof, that artist can actually see and hear all the compliments or criticisms they get from people like you! They love to hear feedback because their ultimate goal is to create art that connects with people, and no one knows better than them what works and what doesn’t.

An Affordable Solution to Custom Artwork

Artwork prices vary dramatically, from a few hundred dollars to several million. While museum-quality paintings are certainly impressive, they can also be intimidating and unaffordable for many individuals. If you want to make art part of your home but don’t have thousands to spend on original pieces, canvas paintings are an affordable alternative that deliver quality results at a more modest price point. With hundreds of available canvases in different styles and sizes, you’re sure to find one that fits your unique aesthetic and complements your existing décor. It’s also easy to take advantage of bold color palettes and interesting themes with canvas paintings since each piece is created by an independent artist who has total creative freedom with their work.

Sustainability

If you want to ensure that your artwork lives on for generations, canvas is one of the best materials you can choose. Pristine artworks have been found in Egyptian tombs that are thousands of years old and it’s possible that more will be discovered in modern-day excavations. On top of being a long-lasting medium, canvas paintings are also water resistant and fade resistant; ideal for preserving your favorite pictures. It might also make sense to store some of your work offsite for safety reasons – if it ever burns down or floods, at least you’ll still have someplace to turn for a copy!

How do you sell your paintings?

Here are 10 ways you can use to sell your paintings and earn money from your Art. You’ll have to tailor each of these methods based on the type of work you’re trying to sell and the market you’re trying to reach. I recommend that you try each method at least once (even if it fails), so that you can identify which methods work best for you, and then re-purpose those methods going forward.

1) Decide what you want to do with your art

If you’re not sure what you want to do with your art, consider selling it in a gallery or through an art dealer. Many galleries rely on artists who are willing to regularly contribute work for future sales. If that’s something you’re interested in, research which local galleries have artists like yourself—or reach out directly via email or social media and ask about their submission requirements.

2) Get a business license

One of the most important things you can do when trying to sell art is obtain a business license. If you’re working from home, having a business license can be tricky—but it’s also something that your customers might appreciate. It shows that you are serious about what you do, and it lets them know they’re dealing with a legitimate artist who doesn’t have any shady affiliations. Obtaining a license won’t necessarily result in more sales, but it will give you peace of mind (and it’ll help keep scammers away).

Make New Connections

3) Pick out a place to sell your work

The first thing you need to do if you want to sell your art is pick out a venue. Do you want to sell your work at a gallery? You can visit local galleries and ask about becoming an artist-in-residence or drop off some of your art and set up an appointment for someone in management or curation at that gallery. You may also choose to try selling your paintings online. If so, there are countless websites available where you can list and market your work, such as Artsy, Blurb, Etsy and Behance Portfolio among others. It’s always a good idea to shop around and see what fits with you best.

4) Make sure you know what your competitors are charging

The first thing you want to do is make sure that your prices are competitive. If you price too high, buyers will be less likely to buy from you, and if your prices are too low, people will assume that either (1) your art isn’t worth as much as it is or (2) that you’re desperate for money. This can hurt you in a couple of ways. First, buyers might not value what they get for what they pay for it. Second, when negotiating with a buyer about price after a sale has been made, there is no perceived reason for him or her to offer a lower price because he or she feels like he or she already got such a great deal. Instead of saying How much do I have left?

5) Build an online presence

A website is one of your most valuable tools when selling art. By featuring your work and professional information, you’re letting visitors know exactly what they can expect when they buy from you. When a customer visits your site, they should know exactly what they’re looking at and why it’s worth their money. You should also make sure that you have a prominent contact us page where potential buyers can get in touch with you. While we don’t encourage pushy sales tactics, building an online presence makes it easier for customers to find out more about your work and how to purchase it. Without that avenue for contact, you lose out on a large number of sales opportunities every year—and that means less money in your pocket.

Helping Artists Stand Out

6) Host an in-person event like an exhibition or show at a local gallery

Holding an event is a great way to spread awareness about your art and get people interested in buying. You can find a gallery willing to host you by doing some research online. Just make sure you have a few good pieces that aren’t too niche-specific (for example, paintings featuring animals probably won’t sell well in a traditional gallery) and write up a bio or introduction that tells people who you are and why your art is worth investing in. Keep in mind that gallery fees will take some of your profit, but if you can sell even one painting at a show, it’s likely still worth it! Learn more about selling paintings on Artsy.

7) Become part of the community

Becoming part of an art community is a good way to see what’s selling and find out if your style matches up with what people are buying. Local galleries often hold open calls where you can submit your work and get feedback; meanwhile, social media can help you find like-minded artists who are already selling their art. If you’re looking for an immediate return on your creative efforts, it might make sense to focus on pieces that fit into preexisting niches—like portraits or landscapes in particular colors.

How To Sell Paintings Online

8) Create and keep a great online portfolio

It’s a common misconception that artists need a physical gallery space in order to sell their paintings. Creating and maintaining an online portfolio—like Art Station or DeviantArt, for example—can be just as effective, if not more so, than opening up shop at a local art center. When creating your portfolio, make sure to include plenty of details about your artistic journey and point people toward your other social media accounts where they can learn more about you and contact you. In order to sell your paintings online (as opposed to in person), it’s helpful if you do some research on how digital sales work; without understanding how purchases are made online, it may feel difficult for anyone outside of your immediate circle of friends or family members to purchase something from you.

9) Know when to move on

Sometimes, you won’t be able to sell your paintings. It might not happen for a while, but that doesn’t mean it won’t ever happen. Even though persistence is key, at some point you have to accept that it might never work out and move on. So be ready for rejection—and know when it’s time to accept defeat. If you don’t find buyers after 1000 tries, either get better at marketing or stop painting altogether (although I hope neither of those are true). Give yourself permission to fail without letting that failure define you or your talents. Don’t give up if things don’t work out right away—but make sure you’re willing and able to try again if necessary in order to achieve your goals.

10) Set prices based on demand

The first thing to do when trying to sell your paintings is determine what you want from them: Maybe you’re just looking for a little extra cash, or maybe you’re trying to turn a few of your pieces into a business. Either way, setting prices based on demand can help you get more for your art—and it’s actually not as tricky as it sounds.

You simply have to figure out which galleries are likely to want your work and find out how much they normally pay artists. In most cases, that information is public and easy to find; all you have to do is look at their websites or contact them directly for details about their usual payment methods. If a gallery doesn’t post their rates online, call and ask!

The post Top 10 Tips to Sell Your Paintings appeared first on ArtistNY.

Q: Do you distinguish between an artist and a person?

A: Yes and no. When you look at the artist’s works in his absence, there is a certain opinion about his work. If it is interesting and exciting, then you create an image of the author involuntarily in your consciousness, akin to his creativity. But, if you see an arrogant and in many respects, a negative person, you begin to believe that creativity can be insincere. Therefore, you have to evaluate his work separately from the author.

Q: Do you do anything other than painting? How did this activity affect your work?

Yes, I am engaged in graphics, sculpture, large-scale painting, and majolica. Sometimes it is useful to leave painting for a short time and, let’s say, do a relief or a monotype. There are times when you need to pause to comprehend what you are writing, whether you are standing still. This pause can give impetus to new solutions and new plastic.

Q: Has the country in which you lived left a trace in your work?

Oh sure. After all, I by nature as a European also lived in the east country and, unlike native inhabitants, I saw the east as. My work is a synthesis of two worlds. It’s like mixing the blood of the Eastern and the European, and in this case, beautiful children turn out.

Q: What do you write more? Still-life, landscapes or plot pictures?

I am interested in everything. After all, when you write some still lifes, you will get fatigued, so I want to take up the plot or landscape, as one complements the other.

Q: Do you have favorite themes for genre paintings?

Unfortunately, no. I want to write different topics to light up a new story, color, composition. There are artists who all their lives write pictures on the same topic, say, rural, and live it, and do not get tired, because it is given to them from above, and I welcome it.

Q: What do you think? Will beauty save the world?

It seems to me that he is too rational and material, and he is least interested in beauty. Although I think, a certain part, I hope, can save a certain amount.

Q: What does creativity give you in life?

A life!

Q: What do you expect from your viewer?

Understand my creativity, do not flatter.

Q: How do you see the world as an artist?

“Does my work not speak for itself?” I see a world saved by beauty.

Q: Can the creativity of the artist change the consciousness of a person?

Yes, maybe it’s for creativity. I think its main task is to change the consciousness of a person, to see the world through the eyes of an artist. If he is talented, then he can influence the mind of the viewer.

Q: What would you say to your child about becoming an artist?

I would say that this is a very difficult path, but it is very interesting.

Q: Is it easy to part with the creations that you acquire?

Can one answer the question with a question? Is it easy to part with a child?

Q: Do you feel excitement at the opening of your exhibition?

Of course. Always, like the first time. Just like an actor, going on stage. After all, personal exhibitions do not happen every week or every month. It takes time to prepare and, therefore, you get to have some certain experiences. After all, you do not know how the viewer will react to new works.

Q: What is the reason for your creativity?

Creativity is a necessity, if you want, dependence. And the occasion gives life itself and its influence on creativity.

This is someone who knows how to touch the most secret strings of a person’s soul, make him think, experience, breathe the air of a picture, enter it and dissolve into it.

“Poetic Justice” the picture is complex, rather complicated. The abundance of symbolic details makes it difficult to understand the concept of the artist. A painting shows the futility of trying to dissect poetry. The artist Samson Gabriel protests against mechanical Evaluation of Art.

In the twenties of the last century, revolutionary art collapsed in its pursuit of everything subordinate soulless to the constructiveness.

Like most of his paintings are written in a low-key, noble gray-pearl gamut, a clear drawing of even the smallest details.

The most imaginative work is “Religious freedom”. The idea of the picture is an eternal national theme from the time of the Egyptian captivity and the Sinai revelation until the creation of the Jewish state. A classic drawing is an ornament of a painting, but her soul is philosophical idea of freedom of thought, inner freedom, born of deep faith.

A dramatic biblical story about Sodom and Gomorrah received the artist’s modern interpretation. Interest in the ancient history and norms of Jewish morality and morality was awakened by the artist in his early childhood in the bosom of the family.

Hilly countryside of Tushia, fields, forests, and full-flowing rivers of the Moscow region perfectly connected in two medieval towns of the Chiminsky mountains, was once inhabited by the Etruscans, Romans, Goths, Longobards, Franks, and Normans.

Ercole Ercoli lives and works in Vallerano, where he was born. Sergey Dronov lives and works in Vinanello, where he moved from Moscow. Only a few miles of picturesque lands are separated from each other. As pleasing to the eye are olive groves, vineyards, chestnut, and walnut trees, which carry the life juices and richness of this unique land.

Colleagues-painters met in this wonderful province, between Rome and Viterbo, whose unique landscape emphasizes the beauty and rigor of historical and architectural monuments; palaces and gardens. The artists are fond of nature surrounding them: copses, groves, forests, lakes, springs, and rivers of this generous land inhabited by proud and hardworking inhabitants. Thanks to the cultural association “L’Albatros,” the acquaintance of the two artists began with participation in such important exhibitions as “Leo Tolstoy,” “European Union,” “Under the Sky of Italy,” “Divine Comedy of Dante,” as well as in other Roman exhibitions that were held in the library “Vallechileano” and the Russian Center for Science and Culture.

They confront each other with the themes of depicting reality, feelings, and poetry, but respecting the cultural substratum of each, without infecting each other with their creative influence.

Awareness of the quality of this substrate is expressed in an increased appreciation of the pictorial language and visual content.

If E. Ercoli immerses in her work in plant forms, both in still lives and in the landscapes of her Native Land, which received inspiration from the style of neo-impressionism, S. Dronov builds relations between his academic formation in Moscow, his homeland, and classical insights dissolved in modern post-surrealism.

Between these two artists, there was a kind of creative dialogue, which is not a competition, but a kind of stimulus in the desire to do something better within the framework of their commonwealth. Moreover, the results are obvious.

Today, these two artists, born in contexts and cultures so remote from each other, claim to be known and appreciated by the wider public not only in Europe, but also throughout the world. The cultural association “L’Albatros” strives to accompany and support these artists on the path of their creative growth and to provide them with all possible assistance in preparing for their personal exhibitions in Italy, Russia, and the United States of America.

Julia Weyss, what are you working on now? What are your plans for the future?

Wondering about the painting on my new unfinished canvas of the ocean view, I think to myself what will this mean? Of course many painters would say you must paint what you know will happen at the end. But do I? No, for I’m ever planning anything. Planning may be incomprehensible or impossible to me–especially for anything creative. What shape am I trying to build? Too many thoughts come together and scatter quickly, so how can it all make sense if I need order? It has not yet shown itself here before my eyes–however waiting is not always easy nor very rewarding.
Many months have passed since coming here–nothing meaningful or inspiring has happened with no success. Yet there still remains something…

I agree with him. For the most part, creativity cannot be expressed in words. This is at the level of feelings and perception. This already depends on the spirituality of the viewer, as far as they are ready to perceive what he has seen.

Either way it’s better than playing video games all night long at home without anyone else to talk to.

Can you lose interest in creativity?

Recently, I had a quick realization. I didn’t think anything too complicated at first. But the best answers are the simplest ones. There was something burning inside of me, giving off heat and energy all day long without rest, every day of my life from birth to now . And just when I finally realized what it was? It really felt like some kind of release from being alive on earth- that all this time it wasn’t meant for just anyone- it was actually for me!

Your family and friends are in no way connected with art, as you are to did they come to this? How do they now relate to what you are doing?

I think I was born with the need to create. Since childhood I’ve loved the phenomena of the physical world collectively,

including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features of this world.

Nature and animals remained alone with itself and with its world. Routine and monotony always depressed me.

At the age of 26, I have decided to seriously tackle creativity.

At age 27 I entered the Art and Graphic Department in State University studying painting and graphic design.

The first years of my life were very much supported by my mother. When I wrote with watercolor, she brought me flowers,

beautiful glass, and ceramic vessels. Such moments are very valuable and will always be remembered forever.

Memories like these cause a a feeling of joy to the quality of being thankful.

My Dad was always proud of me. My Brother supports and believes in me, and for my sister, she believes that there is nothing more beautiful than my paintings.

Of course, my husband Viktor Weyss played a big role. We met for the first time during my senior year in college.

At that time he had been an accomplished artist, with great experience not only in painting, but also

in graphics, sculpting, and temple painting. After graduation, he became my mentor and like-minded person.

My daughter Margarita was a perfect example.

They all, in fact, were all involved and play a major role in my artwork.

Which artist can you call your teachers?

In fact, for me, all artists are teachers. Starting with artists that made cave rock art and ending with the living now.

Of course, these are poets, writers, composers and directors.

You can also learn a lot from children.

What do you do besides creative work?

I teach fine arts to children at an art school.

Since I am a family woman, I cook. But from this, I come up with many creative ideas.

I try the recipes of different cuisines of the world. I also come up with my own.

But of course, when you cook bread and mix it, several times you knead it and

bake, it’s akin to the creative process. When you take the bread out of oven,

it smells and crackles in your hands. That’s the real happiness.

The artist Ercole Ercoli has a deep understanding of nature and applies classic elements to his paintings. He blends colors beautifully, never adding too much or too little.

His genius is shown when he displays mastery over the painting technique. The artist goes days without interruption when he has something to say through art.

Leaving canvases untouched for later use adds an element of mystery and intrigue about what he will paint next. A collector once said that one could feel excitement when they entered into his studio because there was always something new to see.

Ercole spends most of his time in the studio, but leaves some unfinished work for him to continue tomorrow. Visitors come from all over to see him and buy what he has made. He has been known to produce an assortment of fine artwork that is valued by many people.

Biography

Julia Weyss — is an artist who has recently become engaged in creativity.

She is still in search of style, manners, and technique, gradually coming to understand what she wants to express in her art.

At the moment, she chooses oil painting that which she is most familiar with. In the graphics she applies a watercolor technique as an experimental material.

For an artist, the main thing is an idea. A thought and a feeling.

Julia is looking for a form that does not hold the thought in the grip, which would help to force the viewer to experience the excitement and emotion, impressed by what they saw.

Julia believes every person’s vision of the world forms during childhood. From interrelation, communication with nature, a mother’s love, and conversations with their father.

All of these moments are episodes of childhood that stretch throughout our entire life until death.

The fact that we look, listen, read, and absorb into ourselves intuitively comes out & expressed through creativity.

Julia helps in the work of music and poetry. Her paintings in the most part cause sadness, a state of rest, and a desire to enter the painting.

Her work is spiritual, sensual and philosophical.

It is amazing to see what can delight, surprise, or make one laugh or cry; effect the soul.

Painting “Mirror” | Oil on Canvas | Height: 62.9″; Width: 47.2″

Mirror

The work was inspired under impression of music by Johann Sebastian Bach.

A sense of flying, voyage, experiencing the desire to bring the soul into the higher, spiritual world.

The search for spiritual beginning, the absence of the earthly is why the scene behind the main subject, which is a temple in the background.

The temple is what we have deep inside extending far down from the top of our spiritual impulses.

Feelings of the quality of being thankful, a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction, and looking back at something.

Understanding that everything that we live for is tolerant, forgiving, and having the desire to go there.

In our life, we strive for perfection.

The central figure is the result, maturity, a state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint, and the state of taking pleasure from something in the present.

Painting “Silence” | Oil on Canvas | Height: 31.4″; Width: 39.3″

Silence

The painting was painted after her father’s death, and is devoted to Julia’s father.

He is a man in a bird, spiritual significance, a totem.

A man sits enjoying the sunset, thinking about life – gone by in time and no longer existing in the present, or likely to happen in the future.

There, beyond the horizon is the sea, which the earth’s surface and the sky appear to meet, unexplored, extending far down from the top or surface, wanting to experience a spacious, different life.

Here is a calm and complete absence of sound, to the further side of the horizon is something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain.

“I would like to sail to the sea and not return”, – at the time when he was still in good health, these words seemed not able to be understood.

Even disturbing the state of being awake and aware of surroundings.

Only now we clearly realize that this would be a conception of what is a perfect death for him.

Painting “Apple orchard” | Oil | Height: 51.8″; Width: 62.9″

Apple orchard

When relatives leave, there is something remembered from the past. A recollection.

It can be anything. An instrument which he worked with, shoes in which he walked, a small, smooth stone which lay in his pocket or a garden where he planted.

Everything is filled with love. An intense feeling of deep affection which the soul thrives on.

Memory breathes, remaining for many years. Causing sadness, a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, a feeling of worry and appeasement.

It remains for us. Recent work is linked by a chain of events and Reflection. The picture “Apple Garden” summed up the line.

For Julia Weyss a main road is not a suggestion. It is an idea or opinion produced by thinking, or occurring suddenly in her mind.

Carrying a thought of an imagined event or situation is what drives her to expressing a desire with her paintings.

Artist Viktor Weyss lived in Central Asia half his life. His work is a symbiosis of Eastern and European culture.

His work can be defined as decorative realism. He is not limited to paint only still life and landscapes.

His work is important to him not only by the form, but also in it’s content.

The graphic works – monotype, differ in their color complexity and unusual techniques of the composition.

The artist is not inclined to work with nature, because as he believes it limits his creative freedom.

Viktor in general begins in abstract to allow him self to be more free in the color to solution of composition.

But abstraction, as such, is not what interests him. He uses it as a means to solve the conceived plot of the picture, i.е. from chaos to a specific idea. Stable decorative style in his paintings and aestheticism in graphics, socio-cultural hedonism and a kind of self-sufficiency, is a desire for symbolism and myth-making distinguishes his works.

Monumental art – majolica panel, painting the temple, the manufacture of reliefs on the facade of the temple gave impetus to the artist to spiritual and professional growth.

“Angel and Aggel” Painting

There is such an expression in the Christian religion as “From God and from Crafty “, i.e. Good and evil, which is for all our lives. To

Youth, one expresses calm. The other is tense and ready for action any moment. Our life on earth is an opportunity for free Choice:

how we will live it, and for whom of these two young men will we follow.

“Guided” Painting

From time immemorial, mankind dreamed of being free. But in my opinion,

to the question “what does it mean to be free?”, not everyone can answer. In life, we depend on many factors – from society, religion,

and money, eventually. We often observe how one person appears or a group of people with their own, even delirious idea.

Nevertheless, they follow him (they think) into a bright future.

Title: Odalisque, oil on canvas
Date Created: 2015
Art Movement: Decorative Realism

“Foreign” Painting

The plot of the picture reflects the situation familiar to many and relevant in modern world. This concerns the coexistence of different people with different Culture and religion. When suddenly, because of any disagreement one part of society becomes an outcast. People find themselves in the “strange” environment in which they lived a long life.

Viktor began painting in his early age. He was admitted to the Union of Artists. Since 1991 he continues his professional career as an artist. His art is presented in many art shows and galleries.

Anything that happened between people thousands of years ago, is almost the same thing as to say something about the events of yesterday.

The language of metaphor, helps me to better express the idea of paintings.

It must be said that S. Dronov excelled in the works in this direction. His art is intuitive and charming, pointed personally. The artist involves rethinking, transforming images, and the aesthetic principles of antiquity.

Ancient Art

Original Painting by Sergey Dronov

The Ancient Artwork balances all off of each other. Showing different times of the past. They all connect together throughout history. There is no doubt that the lost in the vastness of time, the artist Sergey Dronov shows with genuine interest for humanity in many ways, as the Greco-Roman era.

In this, lies the essence of the artistic methods S. Dronov and the context of the transformation of the symbolic direction of primary sources. An example of such a transformation – a well-known story of pious widows – Judith’s beauty. Famous for sophisticated deceit in the name of the noble principles and the severed head of the Assyrian general Holofernes, became one of the symbols of the defeated textbook Evil. Unfathomable, mystery Judith transmitted from century to century poets, painters and sculptors shocking to this day, each in its own way deals with the eternal relevance of the Old Testament story.

Perhaps the viewer is not meant to get down to the meanings of secret in the compositions of S. Dronov. It would seem enough to indulge in the enchanting mysteries of antiquity, the myth of “heroism” Judith. The perception of these strong details, effects and contrast the artist.

The Voices, objects, and symbols in the paintings and graphic works of artist Sergey Dronov, can be heard distinctively. Reflections on the ancient Roman art objects with a brush in his hand, gives rise to new images, in the current wave of the Renaissance.

I found out that Max was interested in being an artist from a young age but lacked the motivation and spark for it so he followed what his family wanted him to do which was pursue art professionally. In the early 2000s, after having been contacted by an influential curator from Tech University who saw potential in him, he began developing a distinctive iconic style of abstraction which have won him many awards including Best Abstraction Paintings.
